1 French or Italian loaf
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3–4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1/4 tsp salt
Pinch of black pepper
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
2–3 tbsp grated Parmesan
Optional: olive oil, red pepper flakes
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Mix softened butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Slice bread in half lengthwise. Spread garlic butter on both halves.
Top with mozzarella and Parmesan.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese is bubbly. Broil 1–2 minutes for browning.
Let cool briefly, then slice and serve hot.
