A festive, no-cook caprese salad arranged like a Christmas tree—perfect for holiday appetizers and potlucks. Sweet tomatoes, fresh basil, and mozzarella topped with balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes

  • 8 oz mozzarella balls (ciliegine or bocconcini)

  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 12 tbsp balsamic glaze

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional garnishes: rosemary sprigs, pomegranate seeds, cheese star

Instructions

  • Rinse and dry tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella.

  • On a large platter, arrange ingredients in rows forming a Christmas tree shape.

  • Alternate tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil for each row.

  • Add a “trunk” using olives or mozzarella.

  • Garnish with rosemary and pomegranate if desired.

  • Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze just before serving.

  • Serve chilled or at room temperature.
