Cowboy Spaghetti combines hearty ground beef, smoky bacon, bold seasonings, and melty cheddar cheese for a comforting, flavorful pasta dish with a Western flair.

  • 1 lb spaghetti

  • 6 slices bacon, chopped

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes

  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Sliced green onions (for garnish)

  • Reserved pasta water (½ cup)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup water, then drain.

  2. In a large skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.

  3. In remaining bacon fat, sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.

  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

  5. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer 10–12 minutes.

  6. Add cooked spaghetti and reserved pasta water. Toss to coat.

  7. Stir in 1 cup cheddar cheese until melted.

  8. Serve topped with remaining cheese, crispy bacon, and green onions.
