1 lb ground chicken
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp tomato paste (optional)
¾ cup tomato sauce
¼ cup ketchup
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp brown sugar
Salt & pepper, to taste
4 sandwich buns, toasted
Optional: pickles, cheese, jalapeños for topping
Heat oil in a skillet. Add onion and bell pepper; sauté 5–6 minutes.
Add garlic and cook 1 minute. Add ground chicken and cook until browned.
Stir in Cajun seasoning and tomato paste; cook 1 minute.
Add tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.
Simmer uncovered for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Toast buns and spoon the mixture on top. Add desired toppings and serve.
