Easy Salisbury Steak is a quick one-pan meal made with juicy ground beef patties simmered in a savory onion gravy. A classic, cozy dish ready in 30 minutes.

For the Patties:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • ⅓ cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tbsp ketchup or Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp pepper

  • 1 small onion, minced

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

For the Gravy:

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 small onion, sliced

  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)

  • 2 tbsp flour

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Mix beef, breadcrumbs, egg, seasonings, onion, and garlic. Form into 4–5 oval patties.

  • Sear patties in skillet for 3–4 minutes per side. Remove.

  • Sauté sliced onions and mushrooms in butter until soft.

  • Stir in flour, cook 1–2 minutes, then add broth and Worcestershire.

  • Simmer gravy, then return patties. Cover and simmer 10–12 minutes until cooked through.
