Easy Salisbury Steak is a quick one-pan meal made with juicy ground beef patties simmered in a savory onion gravy. A classic, cozy dish ready in 30 minutes.
For the Patties:
1 lb ground beef
⅓ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tbsp ketchup or Dijon mustard
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
1 small onion, minced
1 garlic clove, minced
For the Gravy:
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp butter
1 small onion, sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
2 tbsp flour
2 cups beef broth
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix beef, breadcrumbs, egg, seasonings, onion, and garlic. Form into 4–5 oval patties.
Sear patties in skillet for 3–4 minutes per side. Remove.
Sauté sliced onions and mushrooms in butter until soft.
Stir in flour, cook 1–2 minutes, then add broth and Worcestershire.
Simmer gravy, then return patties. Cover and simmer 10–12 minutes until cooked through.
