A luscious dessert that layers fudgy brownies with coffee syrup and fluffy mascarpone cream—an easy twist on the classic Italian tiramisu.

Ingredients

Brownie Layer:

  • 1/2 cup melted butter

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 tsp espresso powder (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Coffee Syrup:

  • 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)

Mascarpone Cream:

  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped to soft peaks

Finish:

  • Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment.

  • Make brownie batter: mix butter and sugar, then eggs, then dry ingredients. Pour into pan and bake 20–25 minutes. Cool completely.

  • Simmer coffee syrup ingredients until reduced. Brush over cooled brownies.

  • Beat mascarpone with powdered sugar and vanilla. Fold in whipped cream.

  • Spread mascarpone mixture over brownies. Dust with cocoa powder.

  • Chill for 2+ hours before slicing and serving.
