3 ripe but firm pears (Bosc or Anjou), halved and cored
⅓ cup crumbled blue cheese (Gorgonzola, Roquefort, or Stilton)
¼ cup chopped toasted walnuts or pecans
1–2 tsp honey or balsamic glaze
Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish (optional)
Lemon juice to brush on pears
