Honey Garlic Chicken features juicy chicken simmered in a sticky, sweet-savory sauce of honey, garlic, and soy. A quick, flavorful meal perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

  • lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 12 tablespoons olive oil or butter

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • ⅓ cup honey

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lemon juice

  • Optional: 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (for thickening)

  • Optional garnish: sesame seeds, chopped scallions

Instructions

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper.

  • Heat oil in skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken 4–5 min per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • Lower heat; sauté garlic for 30 seconds.

  • Add honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Simmer 3–5 min.

  • For thicker sauce, stir in cornstarch slurry and simmer until glossy.

  • Return chicken to pan, spoon sauce over, and simmer 2–3 more minutes.

  • Serve with rice or veggies. Garnish as desired.
