Honey Garlic Chicken features juicy chicken simmered in a sticky, sweet-savory sauce of honey, garlic, and soy. A quick, flavorful meal perfect for weeknights.
1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
Salt and pepper to taste
1–2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
⅓ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lemon juice
Optional: 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (for thickening)
Optional garnish: sesame seeds, chopped scallions
Season chicken with salt and pepper.
Heat oil in skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken 4–5 min per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Lower heat; sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
Add honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Simmer 3–5 min.
For thicker sauce, stir in cornstarch slurry and simmer until glossy.
Return chicken to pan, spoon sauce over, and simmer 2–3 more minutes.
Serve with rice or veggies. Garnish as desired.
