A creamy, cheesy one-skillet pasta with ground chicken that’s quick, comforting, and perfect for picky eaters.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken

  • 8 oz elbow or shell pasta

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 ½ cups tomato sauce

  • 1/2 cup whole milk or half-and-half

  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar or mozzarella

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: 1/2 cup frozen peas, grated carrot, or chopped spinach

Instructions

  1. Boil pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside. Reserve ½ cup pasta water.

  2. In a large skillet, heat oil and brown ground chicken with salt and pepper.

  3. Add onion and garlic; sauté until soft. Add optional grated veggies.

  4. Stir in tomato sauce and simmer for 3–5 minutes.

  5. Reduce heat; stir in milk and cheese until smooth and creamy.

  6. Add pasta and toss to coat. Use pasta water to adjust consistency if needed.

  7. Stir in peas or spinach (optional). Taste and adjust seasoning.

  8. Serve warm with extra cheese on top.
