1 lb ground beef (85–90% lean)
3 cups broccoli florets
1 tbsp neutral oil (like canola or avocado)
3 cloves garlic, minced
⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp fresh grated ginger (optional)
1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)
2 green onions, chopped
Red pepper flakes (optional)
Whisk soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl. Set aside.
Steam broccoli for 2–3 minutes until just tender. Set aside.
In a large skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
Pour sauce into the beef and bring to a simmer.
Add cornstarch slurry. Stir until sauce thickens.
Return broccoli to the pan. Toss everything to coat.
