Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles are a sweet, savory, and slightly spicy stir-fry dish made with tender chicken, chewy noodles, and a glossy homemade garlic sauce — all in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts, thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp neutral oil

  • 8 oz lo mein or egg noodles

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce (optional)

  • 23 tbsp brown sugar

  • 45 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • ¼ cup water

  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (for slurry)

  • Red chili flakes or sriracha (optional)

  • Green onions & sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Boil noodles, drain, and set aside.

  • Toss chicken with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.

  • Heat oil in skillet or wok. Cook chicken in batches until browned. Remove and set aside.

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauces, brown sugar, garlic, vinegar, sesame oil, and water.

  • Pour sauce into pan, bring to simmer. Add cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.

  • Return chicken and noodles to pan. Toss until coated and heated through.

  • Garnish and serve hot.
