Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles are a sweet, savory, and slightly spicy stir-fry dish made with tender chicken, chewy noodles, and a glossy homemade garlic sauce — all in under 30 minutes.
1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts, thinly sliced
2 tbsp cornstarch
Salt & pepper, to taste
2 tbsp neutral oil
8 oz lo mein or egg noodles
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tbsp dark soy sauce (optional)
2–3 tbsp brown sugar
4–5 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
¼ cup water
1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (for slurry)
Red chili flakes or sriracha (optional)
Green onions & sesame seeds (for garnish)
Boil noodles, drain, and set aside.
Toss chicken with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
Heat oil in skillet or wok. Cook chicken in batches until browned. Remove and set aside.
In a bowl, mix soy sauces, brown sugar, garlic, vinegar, sesame oil, and water.
Pour sauce into pan, bring to simmer. Add cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.
Return chicken and noodles to pan. Toss until coated and heated through.
Garnish and serve hot.
